It may seem surprising to speak of intuition in the field of mathematics. This intuition, although approximate, would in truth only be an innate ability to perceive and apprehend magnitudes and quantities from birth, even before any teaching of numbers and their symbolic values.
Dédys is an app to reinforce the number intuition
Tailored code to reinforce mental representation
For some dysphasics children, the presentation of a visual model can help to understand the figures' world. The code designed for Dédys is based on materiality where abstraction is less dominant than with Arabic numerals
Affordant user interface
Th user interface is pushing the affordance to its maximum. It gives stickers, dice, and dominos to children. Those are tools to help them represent numbers and solve mathematics problems.
Customizable exercice for teachers
Each exercise is fully customizable and printable to be used in class. A backend to follow children's progress is already designed but shhh... this is a secret.
Use games to increase attention
Each exercise session is interrupted by a mini-game carefully designed and following scientific guidelines. Based on multiple studies playing a certain type of game is increasing reading results for dyslexic people.
