About the project
To create an interactive tool dedicated to the history of the cathedral's construction, from its start in the 13th century to the major restorations of the 19th century. We have prioritized this chronological aspect because it constitutes a priority and stimulating element of curiosity for visitors. In addition, the stages of construction, and the progress of the site, placed in their contemporary urban environment, lend themselves very well to presentation in digital form. The tool leverages the latest 3D modeling data from the E-Cathedral program. The Opus project was carried out by a multidisciplinary team of specialists in digital science, digital design, art history, and heritage mediation to provide scientifically sound content suitable for the general public.
